Edith Wheeler Nelson

Edith  Cavell  Wheeler  Nelson,  age  82,  of  Renick,  died  Wednesday, November 14, 2001, at Greenbrier Valley
Medical  Center.  She  was a member of Central Union United Methodist Church and attended Mt. Hermon United
Methodist  Church  at  Renick.  Born at Marlinton February 14, 1919, she was the daughter of the late George and
Virgie  Bright Wheeler. Preceding her in death were her husband, Cale Nelson; two sisters, Lillie Shinaberry and
Mattie  Higgins,  and  a  brother,  Noel  Wheeler.  Survivors include a daughter, Alice Faye Baca, of Albuquerque,
New  Mexico; three sons, Cale B. Nelson, Jr., of Marathon, Florida, Jack D. Nelson, of Renick, and Oran T. Nelson,
of Morgantown; three sisters, Nora Miller and Eula Friel, both of Marlinton, and Zoe Sharp, of Baltimore, Maryland;
five  grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Central Union
United  Methodist  Church by the Rev. Sonny Painter and the Rev. Bob Mann. Burial was in the Wilfong Cemetery.
